Was recording with a friend yesterday and we did this jazzy version of satisfaction...I kinda liked it although we were just having fun and recording whatever came to mind.

Tell me if you like it if you want to...

That was really good. Reminded me of Clapton's acoustic version of Layla. Maybe you have something here. Much superior to the 81 tour's growled version of Satisfaction.

Nice jazzy sound. You should send a tape to Norah Jones. Maybe you two can do a duet. It's her style doing covers..

Hello Buddy,

I think the vocals are excellent on this track! Nothing like Mick but that's fine for a Jazzy version anyway. It sounds well produced considering there's only guitar and vocals.Nice and laid back - a relaxing version!

I think I'll put one of my tracks up there now... you've inspired me!

Regards,

Ian.

I really began to cringe when I read about a "jazzy" version of Satisfaction (nasty flashbacks to Phyllis Diller and Britney Spears), but really was pleasantly surprised by your track. Nice work!

Crisp and fresh

Guitar + bass ?

I look at the web site... www.teclats.nl

Where is your pic? Are you the singer, or the guitar player, or both of them?

He guys,

Thanks a lot for the reactions! I didn't expect everyone to be so positive as some people on this board tend to be quite critical sometimes. To respond to some of the remarks:

Teclats.nl has nothing to do with me, I made the site for a dutch keyboard player from Youp van 't Hek..I just use the webspace to host songs sometimes. My site is www.buddymusic.tk but it's in dutch and there are only some crappy older tracks of mine to download.

The recording has got no base, it's just me on vocals and a friend on guitar. Normally we play together live with 2 guitars and vocals. The other guy (sadly enough!!) does not really like the Stones :-( but I sometimes fool him with the less known songs, saying that someone else wrote them. And of course. We are mixing our demo right now and then we'll try to book some ome live dates in The Netherlands...so if you know something!!?? We're always happy to play anywhere and not very expensive..

We also did a simular thing with honky tonk, so if anybody would like it, I'll be glad to put it on the site and post it here...

Listen to my new album on www.bowemusic.nl!
