I know this borrowing, or knowingly and unknowingly referencing, another tune has been brought up before...but...


This was released in 1971 - not sure which month - but (although with a couple of lines changed and speeded up x3) is exactly the same song as on Sticky Fingers...
...which is now credited to Fred McDowell and Rev Gary Davis on the latest SF release (originally Copyright Control on the original vinyl).

So as to the question of ownership - and we know this is true of many blues singers (as well as more recent singers and bands) - when are you 'allowed' to sue and /or claim rights to another of your allegedly original tunes...as Willie Dixon did to Led Zep!!
