Wuudy,
What's the quality like of your Aragon show? I have one but it's horribly muddy sound with a lot of audience talking. Is yours of better quality? I'd be interested in getting a hold of a clean copy.
How about the existing 2005 boots? I've heard (so far) Boston opening night, Albany and Charlottesville. I have not heard any of the Drake remix of Columbus, yet. Charlottesville sounds really good, and the set list is great.
S0 -- has anyone converted any of Drake's work into MP3 format yet?
There is or was an internet site devoted to research done on the various releases of the '73 Brussels/London material. The conclusion was that the two best releases are Europe '73 & Nasty REMIXES, not any Brussels Affair Definitive Edition or Bedspring etc..As far as other shows go,Tooth and Nail is the best release of Miami '94;for Hampton '81 I would go with Twenty Flight Rock or Hippy Happy Keith (strange title but ex.sound) rather than Hampton '81;Drippin' Honey is the best cd release for Charlotte '72;German Girls (no bonus rehearsal tracks but the best sounding release for the actual concert) for Europe '99;the Crystal Cat label is said to have the best release of the Stockholm '03 club show.

Hi Camper, I think we have the same one. At least mine is also an audience recording. I like the set list a lot with the guest appearences of Bono and dr. John!
Who can forget some of the terrific studio outtakes like:
"It's only goat's head soup but we like it" which is better than GHS "RSVP" : terrific "Beggars Banquet" alternate album "Taxile on Main St": wonderful companion to "Exile"
Charles Baudelaire 1821-1867
For the live shows, it's definitely "Brussels Affair" and "Philadelphia 1972" both for top notch sound quality and terrific performances.
1969: 'We Didn't Get It On 'Till Detroit.' Average audience recording but very inspired show and crowd. They go nuts on Prodigal Son and cheer every one of Keith's accoustic solos. Keith's guitar on JJF is tremendous and really pumps up the audience.
1969- Liver Than You'll EVer Be (Oakland)... although the NYC shows were good too 1973- Nasty Music (Brussels, plus) 1975- Hold On Tight (New York) 1976- Paris Aux Printemps (Paris, never been too fond of this tour but the Paris audience here must have been rockin' because the boys did it extra special this night) 1978- I really like the Chicago show... in any version 1981- Too many to choose from... I would go with a trio: either of the first Philly shows, one of the Hartford sbds, and then Hampton. This should give an all around look at this tour 1995- Oslo 1997- All the Gold, Pieces of Gold...whatever...Chicago sbd 9/23/97 1998- Nice if you can get 'em ... the collections of Amsterdam shows 1999- "Don't Bust the Crust" london 2003- Enmore Theatre ... sounds like you are listening to them in a pub and they are hot that night, Midnight Rambler opener is great! Angus and Malcolm Young of AC/DC show up for a jam... even better! 2005- so far I think Albany is the best (although I have yet to hear Columbus) and the 2 DVDs of Boston ....WOW! ...Who ever did these did an excellent job
When Nasty Remixes was re-released on VGP the title was Nasty Music, or A Tour De Force. Its the exact same quality. Nasty Music even has a better backcover.
There are tons of releases of Nasty Music & most of them include surface noise. This is a little bit hard to follow.A Tour De Force is a re-release of a boot called Nasty Music/Nasty Remixes.I think the same is true for the VGP.The boots with Remixes in the title are from the '87 or '88 re-broadcast where they tried to improve the sound, cut & mixed Midnight Rambler, and used some different sources from the original broadcast.I'd say the best release of the original broadcast is Europe '73.Don't be fooled by variations on this title - just Europe '73.For the new broadcast,I would stay away from anything without Remixes in the title unless it is a recent VGP(which I thought had Remixes in the title)or maybe A Tour De Force.
