Stones Place: A Rolling Stones Theme bar
Posted by: stonehearted ()
Date: January 25, 2013 21:25

Located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Stones Place is a Rolling Stones theme bar that is owned by an actual Stone--Jerry Stone, that is. A fan for more than 40 years, Mr. Stone has decorated the walls of his bar with memorabilia that includes guitars, gold records, and posters. Dress code is "Rock & Roll Casual" and Stones Place is open to the public on Friday and Saturday nights between 9 pm and 2 am, just long enough to get one's "rocks off".

BTW nice picture of Blue Lena and Blondie.

Mmmm... I'don't plan to visit Toronto soon, despite the fact that some relatives of mine are living there. But, just in case, stonehearted, could you post a Toronto's map with the bar's location being marked on it??

Great place, especially on Keith's birthday. Spent many nights with Blondes, Bernard and Jerry. Good times indeed.

The Stones should let Bernard do the set list on the next tour...

That would be an excellent setlist. I'll have to check this place out when I am in Canada.

Ah, this is great. It's probably expensive for beer, but I may have a look some time after I move to Toronto in March.

It is quite a bit west of the downtown core. Went there after the show in 2005. Bernard was there hanging with Jerry.

Ah, this is great. It's probably expensive for beer, but I may have a look some time after I move to Toronto in March.

There's a $10 cover to get in, and it's $5 a beer. There are also theme sandwiches that go for $10. The "Mick Jagger" is a panini with roasted peppers, cucumber, cheese, arugula, and hummus, and the "Ruby Tuesday" is a corned beef with thousand-island dressing and sauerkraut on rye.

These people are too young to be Stones fans. Why aren't they at a club somewhere, listening to Beats.

They're probably there for the cheap beer and sandwiches--then they go to the clubs and leave the place to the 30+s.

I went up to Toronto once when Bernard and Blondie played for Keith's birthday, can't remember which year but it was a big party, great fun.
