Just tweeted: "HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM SUPERHEAVY BOOM BOOM !"

(I was gonna put this in the Christmas greetings thread, but I didn't
want to bum people out by drastically changing the tone there)

Just tweeted, all in caps: "HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM SUPERHEAVY BOOM BOOM !"

along with this pic:

(please God, let that be the cover of their new record, to wash away the
memories of that pre-Christmas nightmare JagGrrr just put me through.

And may many many of your Christmas wishes come true too, all the best, revvy)

PooperHeavy? Wasn't that just a one-off? Or is Jagger going to amuse himself with more extracurricular activities until he's ready to play another series of $6 million dollar shows fronting The Stones? Perhaps he doesn't want to waste any more new songs on The Stones and just leave it as an oldies cash cow. At this point, new Jagger solo work might get even more of a sustained listen than new Stones material anyway.

I was hoping this was just another of Superrevvy's fantasies, but I googled Superheavy and went to their Facebook page, and there it was.

As fantasies go, it gets even better. I reply-tweeted SH and they put my
reply on their twitter page...

...and when those drums go boom boom boom

They didn't put anything their, that's just the way twitter works. If you reply to their tweet it will show up on their profile page.

I don't think you are correct (but I admit I am not 100% sure). What I do know:

1) I have replied to other tweets and the replies have not shown up on the other
party's page, even if my tweet was earlier than the posted ones.

2) Twitter says "@replies will appear in the recipient's Home timeline
if they are following the sender." SuperHeavy does not follow me, so
I think that means they have selected the reply if it shows.

3) To double-check I accessed SH's page under a different twitter log-in name,
and my reply was still there.

4) It kind of defies common sense to think that if, say, the first five people
that reply to a Paul McCartney tweet write "Your music sucks and always has"
that Paul would then be forced by twitter to display those replies on his own page.

So you really think that the anniversary shows were a travesty and prefer Pooperheavy over those shows by The Rolling Stones.

Well I hope there will be no more pooperheavy and no more collaborations with David Stewart. If Jagger does anything new outside of the Stones, I hope he finds a new muse and gets back to straight forward blues and rock ala Wandering Spirit. Hey stonesnow you copped my trademark band name pooperheavy:-)

Didn't know that--which means the pun must be obvious and widespread. I'll bet more people refer to it by its "trademark" than by its actual name.

I am trying very hard to think of something less interesting than StupidHeavy, but am having a very hard time.

You have to hope they signed a contract with some kind of marketing company last year and these "social media" messages are just from a poor sap doing his job...

...when you see that Dave eff'n Stewart posted that they'd turned down a spot at the Olympics it's a bit worrying! Well at least Universal won't be wasting any more cash on this. Well it wasn't all bad, at least we got some new material by a Stone in 2011.
