Were the Stones asked to sing at the Tsunami Concert of Hope?

I know they don't do these concerts very often, but Mick and Keith showed up for the NYC Concert for 9-11.

Can you imagine how much $$$$$$ they could have generated, even from a couple of Stones? Especially if they would have sung a few songs, and then sat down at the phones? I mean they would have had every Stones fan trying to get through with the hope of connecting with one of the boys. What a chance missed for all the $$$$$$ for Tsunami.

I guess there are too many singers and bands out there, you can't have them all, but, I'd think the major Bands and the GREATEST BAND IN THE WORLD would be at the top of the promotors list.

Eric just finished playing and "EL" (Elton) was very good, Norah Jones and Sheryl Crow were good too!

I can't believe that the Promotors didn't think of asking the STONES in whole, or in part?

Hey girls, Brad Pitt is manning the phones.

Actually Diana Ross was pretty good, better than some, a lot of performers appeared nervous, Maroon 5 was good.

It's over, catch it on cable, I guess?

Brian Wilson was very good, too. One of his touring band members is still missing. He and his wife were in Thailand when the disaster happened. She has been accounted for, but he has not.
