I am working through all my e-mail this morning, and the moment I see this photo taken by Jim Pietryga last night I know this is one of the best Rolling Stones shots made ever. Jim was in the pit at the right place at the right time. He is a great photographer, and this is a world class photo. I just wanted to share it - a must see photo.



This photo is telling the story of how the shoiw last night was so great. Just take a look. Keith has just done a riff, Ronnie is wathing Keith cloosely. Both focused. Mick in his own world connecting to the crowd. Charlie with the great smile he is having on every song all through the show. How can you not love these guys? This is a great, great band and of course a great, great photo. Thanks Jim for being there and keeping our memories!

PS. I have seen thousands and thousands of pictures of the Stones. This one is by far one of the best ever. The percect IORR magazine center pages. The perfect poster. The perfect Stones photo!

I did not have any Stones photos in my living room since 20 years or so, but this is one I might like to have framed as the memory of a lifetime. I have a picture of Kilimanjaro in my living room, such a beauty, pictures of my children and grandchildren, and now this one would fit nicely. Framed. I will start the negotioations as soon as I get home.

It should fit an entire wall, and I could look at that wall every time I missed the Stones, but I am afraid that would not be accepted. Have to figure out a way without being asigned to the nearby mental hospital.

I wasn't sure where to post this information, but since it is a photo spread I will attempt to fit it in here.

Doing the tourist think in Manhattan today and literally stumbled across the Rolling Stones-A Photographic & Video Exhibition. At the Paley Center for Media.

Street was decorated with Stone 50 banners with a Stones Store inside.

Address: 25 West 52nd Street, NYC. Great photos, continuous videos playing from shows 65 - 82. Maybe not worth a long trek, but definitely worth the effort if you are in town.
