Which guest artists would you have picked?
Posted by: Stoneage ()
Date: December 11, 2012 16:49

I'm not talking about former Stones members here. Here is my pick:

1. David Bowie - Would have been a nice comeback for the modern Greta Garbo!
2. Bruce Springsteen - "Run Rudolph, Run!" with Keef for Christmas harmony.
3. Robbie Robertson - Since I'm a big "The Band" fan. Ronnies payback for The Last Waltz!

What's your suggestions?

Taylor, Wyman.

Dream Team: Them + Macca on bass or keys, Bill on organ pumping the foot for "Paint It, Black".

I'd think someone more age appropriate would really compliment their music...

Steve Earle on Sweet Virginia or Before They/Run
John Hiatt on Dead Flowers or IORR

Maybe ageless music...

Mumford & Sons guesting on Prodigal Son or Factory Girl...even Wild Horses...

That's not very sporting. You know how Mick gets when he doesn't have his guests.
He wants cages and blow up dolls and thinks to air-fight with...

I say just give him Steve Earle

I'd pick Jack White (who hates the Black Keys as "thieves" and must be resentful as hell they're playing with the Stones) and the Black Keys. And see them get in a fight. And see Dan Auerbach beat up Jack White. That's who I'd put my money on. I like the White Stripes, but the Black Keys are better, and Jack White has been too bitchy toward them.

DOOM AND GLOOM is obviously heavily influenced—with great results—by the Black Keys (especially their song LONELY BOY) so that's the one act I'm pleased the Stones have invited.

Lindsey Buckingham. He's a massive Stones fan. Recorded a lot of Stones songs and not the obvious ones(she smiled sweetly, gotta get away, the singer not the song, i am waiting).
He's a brilliant guitarist and brings the best out of everybody.
Would love to see him with The Stones.

Jumping Jack Flash of course!

Pete and Roger or Macca and Ringo. OR all 4. Actually now I think of it they be the support act. They could put Paul on the piano and bring in Bill on bass and perhaps Mick Taylor on additional guitar.

The Black Keys are cool. Fine with them. Buddy would have been better than Goo Goo. Clapton too! Anyone in the rock or blues genere would have been better than Goo Goo.

Nice call thumbs up

I've been anticipating a Justin Bieber duet for a while. Just a matter of time, fingers x'd...

Mannheim Steamroller on Run Run Rudolph would be the ultimate IMO.

Yanni on synth would be great too, say on All Down the Line.
