Stones should ask their old friend Bob the Rollin' Stone as a guestwinking smiley

Bob was special guest at my first ever Stones concert 1995 in Montpellier, France. They did Like a Rolling Stone together and the way I remember it it was a mess musically.

Bob is a boring guest...bring back Clapton.
A guitar hurricane in comparison

Cool, I had never seen any video from that gig, thanks!
I guess it was Bob's opening set that I was unimpressed with then... it's been a long time.

I think it would be a better idea if The Stones talked Led Zeppelin into hanging around the NY area long enough to be an opening act for The Stones.

I don't think Dylan needs to be their opening act, and his band might overshadow theirs.

No; Bob's stylistically is far removed from the Stones.

He would also be not as focussed as the Stones live.

But Dylan's band is killer diller.

I daw Dylan in 1978 or early 79. Still the worst concert I have ever seen. He assembles killer musicians, and then somehow manages to sound like crap live. It was the first concert I ever left early.

Sure but that was TEN years ago (2002 iirc). His current band and voice are nowhere near that good.

You wish. I just saw him at the Hollywood Bowl a month ago. It was very dramatic and very good. Sure his voice is ragged, but he's using it to good effect. The band was smoking and Bob was the master.
