The joint was a-rocking. Rockman held court. Gazza, with Sweet Virginia over from the USA, was magnanimous, BV was contemplative. Paulywaul was very cheery as were Dandylion Powderman and friends from Switzerland and Germany, Manofwealthandtaste and Mr Jimmy. Will put up photos of the sesh later.

It must have been rocking with that crowd there! Look forward to seeing the pics of what I missed. The best plans go awry... We decided to skip it in favour of a bar next to the entrance doors so that we could leap up to stake a place in the queue for pit entry when it started to form, which turned out to be a good decision as we ended up at the rail. Needs must... But hope to make it to the Pilot Inn on Thursday.

Who's the blonde man talking to BV? He's cute.

Rockman looks like Keef! No surprise there.

It was great to see Gazza preparing for the show. I think it was his 50th show, no? Congrats.

But Gazza, after all the difficult posts about ticket pricing, did you break down and buy one or did some angel (bv) take pity and throw a ticket your way? peace

48th, Tod

I decided I'd like to go on Wednesday after hearing that Taylor and Wyman would definitely play, but I was still adamant that I would stick to my pledge to pay no more than £200 for a ticket and it had to be on the first tier at worst. I paid a few quid more than that but not very much. Certainly something I could justify and it worked out fine.

Out of the 48 shows, I'd honestly put that one in my top five. And it was certainly the most surprising in terms of what they had to offer.

Top 5 for me too Gazza. Up there with Wembley 73, Earl's Court 76, Brixton 95 and Shepherd's Bush Empire 99.

Gazza, I can't believe that you aren't given some tickets from the Stones organization. You deserve it. Much more than those girl models!
Maybe you should start sweet-talking them a bit more?
