Saw them first in 75 so of course that's a favorite. 1978 was great though because of the stripped down band and the new Some Girl's tunes. Then by the time Steel Wheel's rolled around I found either I'd kind of outgrowen feeling the excitment of a live Stones show or they just weren't as good anymore? Felt like leaving half way through Bridges and haven't seen them since. I thought paying over $100.00 a ticket in 97 was already overpriced at the time and $800.00+ in 2021 is completely ridiculous! They've been going downhill since 78 so why would I pay such extravagant prices for a band I saw for so much less when they were so much better?
Just to add to my last post J.Geil's backed them up in 81 and played most of their fabulous Full House album. Rocked the old Seattle King Dome to the rafters and the Stones sorry to say just seemed lame after.
