Taylor, Wyman confirmed?
Posted by: jazzbass ()

Stones Planet Brazil has reported Keith, has confirmed in an interview with Rolling Stone that Mick Taylor and Bill Wyman will be joining them on stage at the London shows and Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck will be joining them for the US shows but I've been unable to find a link to the Rolling Stone interview. Anyone have it?

Ronnie is quoted as saying there is a "possibility" of Clapton and Beck joining on the December 15-gig.

Beck I can see whey, but Clapton? How about Harvey Mandel instead on Hot Stuff!

Good to hear about the London shows with Bill and Mick, Bill HAS to be on "Miss You" and MT on "Gimme Shelter", this is giving me the chills ahead of time, still floored by GS from Bedspring Symphony after all these years!

Well that sounds like shit if you are going to see the Rolling Stones in the States. Let's see, we can have two Rolling Stones make a guest spot... or two non-Rolling Stones make a guest spot.... hmmmmm...... I think I'd rather have Mick and Bill. Honestly, the possibility of seeing Mick Taylor and/or Bill is the biggest draw for me on these shows, as I have never seen either of them play with the Stones. I just missed the Steel Wheels tour with Bill. Voodoo Lounge was my first show. I really hope this is not true about Clapton and Beck.

you didn't miss much. he just pretty much stood there the whole time. find any still picture from him on the tour and it's like you're there.

To see Mick T. and Bill Wyman on stage with the Stones in London will be worth all the vast millions jazzbass is spending to be there!

All I ask for is a full report from Gazza, who deserves to be there!

This is the link to the interview

The Stones expect former guitarist Mick Taylor (who quit in 1974) and founding bassist Bill Wyman (gone since '93) to come on board for the four shows, but only as guests on a few songs.

Get Jimmy page onstage too so all three Yardbirds guitarists share the stage with The Rolling Stones.

Or better yet, to properly reprise One Hit (To the Body).

Not certain that song can be properly reprised...
They should just reprice it

Forget Clapton, the Stones don't need his tired licks. But the Beck, Taylor, Wyman connections are getting me pretty excited. I only wish both Wyman and Taylor would be invited back into the fold for the remainder of The Rolling Stones. peace
