Newest bootleg: Roundhay Park (Live, 1982)

Anyone purchased it yet? Sounds decent, but I'm not sure about the $9.49 price tag. Wonder why the price jump.

I would have thought a 1995 club show, as they were recorded. This seems awfully superfluous.

Nothing new here. Could it be their vault is bare already? I bought it anyway cause that is what addicts do.

A bit pointless as its from the same tour (and with an almost identical setlist) as one of the releases already in the series.

A plus is that (like Toronto 05 and LA '75) its available in professional quality for the first time.

Plus it's a historically significant show - Stu's last gig with the band.

One new bootleg a month? Nice.

Indeed. Would like to see them carry pace that all through next year.

I'm 5 songs in. I think this is what cocaine sounds like.

It's really fast and tight, though - I'm digging it!

Two news songs though...

"Baby Please Let Me Go" and "12 Beast of Burden"

Must be outtakes... spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Intersting collage of the boot covers at the 34:36 mark of that video. I'm seeing "Live At Leeds" at the top. Could that be a future release??

How on earth could anyone be disappointed by these releases?

Does anyone remember what it was like trying to get these shows before the internet became so prevalent?

Buncha whiners.

Shut yer yaps and be grateful.

Live at Leeds is Roundhay Park '82. So I guess we have the whole series by now.

Are you sure? I thought that "Live at Leeds" was a boot from 1971. (where the performance of the B-side "Let It Rock" came from).

This is just weird. What kind of a release is this? It's nearly identical in setlist and sound to Hampton '81. It costs more. There's mislabeling of songs. The artwork calls it Live At Leeds when we've been dying for Live At Leeds, but not THIS Live At Leeds. This is just strange. Did they give up on the series and hand it over to someone who knows nothing about the history of the group?

This has got to be the 'fastest' show I've ever heard. Every single song they just FLY!! Listen to the previews guys... This is lightning. Haven't bought it yet, but I imagine I am going to like it more than Hampton. Ronnie & Keith sound insanely ON..

It's absurd that you can't buy these as FLAC files in the US. I'm not paying for an MP3.....I suspect they are losing a lot of sales on account of that.

That documentary that was posted was quite good! And they sound very strong on this one. Mick's voice actually recovered from his coke cold, and he sounds fantastic! This one sounds better than Hampton...a strange release after Hampton, but sounds worth getting.

I'm moving this over from another thread. Have they got Alzheimer's? Do they not see the similarities between Hampton '81, or even Still Life? This is the 3rd live album that is basically the same lineup, setlist, etc. And speeded up isn't necessarily better, as Keith himself says. What a retarded release.

This is the Mick/Keith Interview about this release:

No "Chantilly Lace"? That's the whole point of a live '82 release!

This is not noticeably better than Hampton '81, or Still Life. You get the same songs on Hampton '81. This is not only stupid, it's a RIP OFF.

For a fan, I think it's pleasant to have the US version and the European one of this tour. Both are good to me.
We don't have that many soundboard boots or pro shot videos of the 82' European tour while in US you have a huge choice !

Good point...I'm biased as I was at this gig
