Posted by: SonicDreamer ()

I decided to have a cast through possible venues in London for a club or theatre warm-up show and see what dates are available at each venue between 19 and 21 November, after they return to London from the NYC Crossfire Hurricane Premiere, allowing for a few days rest and some production rehearsal time.

O2 Academy Brixton – 19, 20 and 21.
O2 Indigo2 – 19 and 20.
100 Club – 19 and 21.
Ambassadors Theatre – 20 and 21.
Cafe de Paris – 19, 20 and 21.
KOKO (Camden) – 22.
The Forum (Kentish Town) – 19 and 21.
Electric Ballroom (Camden) – 19, 20 and 21.
TROXY (from Erik JJF) – 19, 20 and 21.
O2 Academy Islington – 19.
Hackney Empire – 19, 20 and 21.
Bush Hall (Shepherds Bush) – 19 and 20.

HMV Hammersmith Apollo – No dates available.
Cadogan Hall – No dates available.
The Borderline – No dates available.
O2 Shepherds Bush Empire – No dates available.
Royal Albert Hall – No dates available.
The Half Moon (Putney) – No dates available.
Adelphi Theatre – No dates available.

Cheers,
SonicD

These two O2 shows are high rollers, with a lot at stake, l dunno if they would risk doing a show in between, but maybe afterward. I was looking at this from a "warm-up" gig angle.

BTW, when at the GRR! Carnaby Street store this week, I overhead a bloke talking on a mobile that there is a party there on the 27th and "one of the band might turn up". Presumably this will be a private party.

Not unreasonable to think there would be a warm-up in London...and the Indigo2 would be great (saw the Who there a few years back), and kind of 'logical' since they are playing the main gigs next door...

There are a lot of bankers in London.

There's bound to be a gig.

Where da f*ck is that Erik and how come I've lived here since 1991 and never heard of it... is it some sleazy skin joint you hang out at when you come to London?! ;--P

Troxy is in the East End borough of Tower Hamlets. It's actually a *very* nice theatre in art-deco style, but the area makes it a bit decadent. Kinda echoey sound @ live gigs due to the high ceiling, but still better than O2 ;P

yes there's surely a "Carmignac" in London ready to pay generously the Band.
if it happened in Paris, it must also happen in the City.

Yes, based on what we heard in Bondy while listening in on the rehearsals, no similar surprises are in the cards for London. On the other hand it would be great if you guys could locate the spot of the production rehearsals and pick up the torch !

Rehearsals in London?

The Stones are in New York right now but when will they be back to London?
Okay they repeated in Paris but it's not enough to be 100% ready for next week, the 25...

I'd say its pretty certain that the final run of rehearsals will be in or around London.

What Chuck (I think ?) called the "production rehearsals" in an interview...

OMG Lisa too!!!! The last time I heard Gimme Shelter in live was 9 years ago!

But my question was not if they will repeat? Of course they will. My question is: do they have enough time to repeat? if they are in New York right now, 10 days before the first concert.

In 2007, they repeated 3 weeks near Brussels and the show was not really good...

A week in NYC and they forget about all the songs they just rehearsed, and how to do the show. Right? So we are in trouble and so are they. Honestly, the production rehearals are about getting the new tongue stage to work with the band in a live real environment. They have rehearsed for a month in Paris, and they are very read music wise. Ten days to go!

Bring it on !

@benstones - repeat=rehearse ;-)

@corriecas - there's been no rumour about Lisa joining at this point, so unless you've got good reasons to think she'll be there no need to start one I think.

Keys will definitely be there. he posted a few days ago on his facebook account that he was going to join the Stones soon at their rehearsals.

Next week. The six of them. Plus Bernard who came to Paris between the Trabendo and the Mogador. And they say Bobby will be in town. I think that's about it.

Hammersmith Apollo 21st November is free, 100 Club 18th/19th & 21st, Ambassadors 20th/21st are all free, Marquee ?
Got to be a warm-up gig at one of them.

Satisfied since 1976

There are dozens of small clubs in London. Literally.

Hammersmith's a bit big for a club venue on the same level as Trabendo. 100 Club only holds about 350 people and as far as sight-lines go would be a bit of a nightmare.
