Last year there was an auction for a lot of candid pics from the stones took by Marilyn Hill in the mid 60s.

Brian is using the Vox peardrop guitar, so would that date it either 64 or 65 ?
I don’t think he used it in 66 and it’s first use was when “It’s All Over Now” was released.
The clothes look 65.
The stage front has a protective wire mesh on a wooden frame added. This was not common in Uk theatres, many of which had an orchestra pit which pushed the audience much further away from the stage.
The side walls appear to have material hanging half way up it seems which is also not typical of uk theatres.
The bottom half of the walls seem to be panels. I would say this venue is a large arena or sports hall which has been sectioned off to reduce the size and the stage has been fitted with barriers because the Stones’ reputation with past concerts is well known.

I would date it in 1965, somewhere in Europe or USA……………and they worked so many gigs back in the early days. This needs someone who recognises the venue to take it further.

The Hill photos sold for over $64000. I wonder if it was Matt who got them...
