OK, the Uk album version is about 4:06, no fade; the US debut album has the same 4:06 version, but it fades. High Tide, Green Grass has a 3:47 version, and the Singles Collection (1989, didn't check the remaster) has a 2:47 version. Can someone tell me which tell me was the US single, which the UK single?? Sounds like the same basic track on all - no?

Early vocal version. This was released on the first UK pressings of The Rolling Stones LP

4.06 version - Febraury 24 & 25 1964
B side of 7" It's All Over Now - Decca DL 25144 German pressing

2.41 version - US 7" release. Edited from 4.06 version with instumental part after second chorus missing.

Hmm. As I understand it, the very first printing of UK LK4605 (The Rolling Stones) has the long version that is fading away. Second printing in UK and all later printings in UK has the short "cut" version. Don't have the timings available. Don't have the original Tell Me UK single in my collection for some reason...so I cannot know what version is on that on. I assume that it is the cut short version

The first German version of the LP (gold on red label), BLK 16300-P has the long version and so does also the German single DL 25144 (also gold on red lable)

Why didn't they play it at least at the Beacon Theater?

In Sweden we had the long 4:06 version on a EP, probably the same as flip-side of german It's all over now..

On CD-Box Single-collection Decca Years they choose the short 2:47 version...idiots...
