Just picked this up with two "Dance" Versions on the disc! Does anyone know if this was the "single" I like it but am surprised Kieth had anything to do with it.
It was the third single from Bridges to Babylon, issued in 1998 - charted in the UK in August, I believe (georgelicks??). I have the version that has an edited (3:38) verion of the lp track, 2 mixes by Fluke (8:27 & 5:58), & 1 by Bi-Polar (5:10). I always thought the song was a highlight of the Bridges & No Security tours. credits on the album version:
Mick - vocal, wah-wah guitar, harmonica, shaker Keith - electric guitar, backing vocals Charlie - drums Ron - electric guitar & Jim Keltner - percussion Waddy Wachtel - electric guitar Don Was - wurlitzer piano, keyboards Jamie Muhoberac - keyboards Danny Saber - bass, clavinet, reality manipulations Bernard Fowler & Blondie Chaplin - backing vocals

Don't know much about the single, but they did a GREAT version of this line in Toronto last September. One of the highlights of the show for me, musically...with a jazzy interlude.
My god I took the words right out of my own mouth from 2 years ago ("guess I'll never be a completist") - was actually going to write it again! These resurrected posts can be a bit surreal...I'd love to hear it again in Boston, er Foxboro, espececially after reports of Ron W's recent performances.
I like that The Don Was remix and the version from No Security tops the album version by a mile. When they do it live it really cooks. And that's exactly the right word for it. It COOKS. I was lucky to see it in Parken in 1998. A highlight in retrospect.
