The Great Train Robbers and Ronnie Wood

According to my calculations, by 2005 Ronnie Wood will have been in the Rolling Stones for 30 years. Is this a punishment????

The Great Train Robbers only got 25 years each.....

Yes, I'm joking of course.

Well done Ronnie - where would the Stones be today without your skills (guitar and personal skills) - oiling the wheels?

Blimey! It must be fantastic to be in the Rolling Stones for 30 minutes, never mind 30 years!

Rock on Ronnie!

Regards,

Ian.

There aren't many people who can say they've been in a band for 30 years and yet are still thought of as the "new guy"!.....

Yeah you're right, but I wonder if Darryl Jones is now the 'new guy'?

Ian.

Heh, good point! Though Jones is not an official Stone, he's been with them for a significant period too!

Really, Ron got more songwriting credits with the Jeff Beck Group (1967 - 69).
No, maybe not. I hope he celebrates this milestone with a musical rejuvenation based on sobriety, asserts himself a bit, but he'll always be the 'younger brother' in the family. Darryl's more an in-law.

No. I don't even know who Ian Billen is. My name is Ian Gillon (almost the same spelling as Ian Gillan from Deep Purple).

Check out our website at www.stikkyfingers.co.uk and you'll see we're based in the UK.

If you want a taster track I can email it to you!

Merry Christams 2004.

Ronnie's now been in the band nearly 32 years - and still alive!
