Brussels Affair Box - Art Edition - Sold out!

Unbelievable. They finally manage to sell all the most expensive box sets (1500$ one). It took them two months to sell out the 73 units though... And I guess it has something to do with the London shows tickets + Brussels box offer.

The Brussels Affair Box bothers me even more than the ticket prices for these Stones shows. I guess it bothers me because as a long-time fan, I have always regarded Brussels as the greatest unreleased live album in rock history. I know that many Stones fans would have loved to haved owned a proper physical product (either CD or vinyl) with liner notes and photos. To limit it to 1973 signed copies, priced at $750 or above was a real tragedy in my view - it deserved so much more. To make things worse, they trot out unsigned versions as part of an overpriced ticket package, cheapening the original signed series while still leaving it out of the reach of most fans. At the end of the day, I couldn't resist and bought the ticket package for the floor seats and a copy of this long-coveted set. I still hope that they release a nice vinyl set for all fans.

Watch ebay become littered with them very soon.

I don't think the ticket sales had anything to do with it. The boxes in the ticket sales offer are unsigned. So the signed ones Bravado are selling are not linked to the ticket purchases at all. Amazing they sold out. Crazy world we live in.

Totally agree on this. In respect to long time fans they should have sold normal priced CD's and vinyls (and would have made more money as more people would have bought this).

Actually you're right. Anyway 73 only signed units should have sold faster.
That they have to sell the unsigned ones through a ticket - box package seems to underline the fact they don't sell that well to me.

Had it been within my budget I would have bought it.
Seemed like a nice thing.
Unfortunately, with my current budget I couldn't justify such a purchase.

Instead of a 3 LP set ranging from 750$ to 1500$, how about a normal 2 LP set at 35$ without the superfluous watch and lithograph?

Not just for completists, but for anyone who wants the best live Stones performance ever recorded. Mick Taylor's slide and Jagger's harp on Midnight Rambler - epic$.

This reminds me of The Who's Live at Leeds. Released in multiple formats over the years, it finally came out in an expensive deluxe edition with the Live at Hull recordings as a bonus.
A couple of years on...and Live at Hull has been released separately. Effectively people (like me) shelled out close to £100 for something which now costs £10 or thereabouts.
No wonder download sites are so popular....

Well I for one thing The Who Live at Leeds Deluxe was stunning. Yes, the Hull concert is slatted for release in March, but it is described as being an edited version. The box set was something truly special. An amazing package with a fantastic book, and great original pics that haven't been seen. It is also no longer available, and was truly limited edition. I love it. And on ebay, mint condition boxes are starting at 200 dollars. So you have a great collectors item.

Are there also official CDs included?: [www.stonesarchive.com]

We'll find out when we receive it. My guess is that the answer is yes, but it's a mystery for now - the pictures have not matched the descriptions.

Strange, the "Art" edition set with 73 copies had been showing sold out, now appears available and for sale.

Sorry, did we say limited to 73 copies? We meant 7300.

Now it's the download version (mp3 & flac) that seems to not be available anymore on Stones Archive...

I've got this lossless for under 10 bucks. What's the problem?
