Great news. Really good concert. Possibly better than Live at Leeds.

Hull is a great show, but the Tommy section also includes a few seconds of the Leeds version. Overall I still prefer Leeds as the atmosphere at Hull was subdued for a Who Concert. Tommy wasn't as good at Hull as at Leeds (it falters here and there), but Shakin All Over is better at Hull, IMO. Both Hull and Leeds My Generation are seperate animals, both good and both worth the price of admission. What is surprising is that if you hadn't read that the bass for the first five songs was "flown in" from Leeds you wouldn't recognize the difference (and even then its still really hard to tell).

It's not that hard to tell. The flown in bass parts are just a low rumble that doesn't fully go with the rest of the tracks. Nonetheless, the Hull show is pretty beastly.

Bit of a bummer if you forked out for the Live at Leeds box set just for this set and then a couple of years later you can get it for £10!

so the Hull-box is cheaper than that from Leeds? How about a box from Bury for a bargain?

Here's a clip of The Who Live at Leeds. The only known clip in existance.
