Exactly, you nailed it! I´m just happy to get more stuff from this band that i love, I mean, they could have retired years ago, but they bounce back now and then, and i´m thankful for that. Can´t imagine a world without The Rolling Stones, altough that will be some day soon, maybe. Be happy they´re still here.

The vocal intro really reminds me of "Travelin' Band". The riff reminds me of ZZ Top, as already posted. Yeah, we all hope for something fresh and another fix of that buzz they gave us back in the day, but I'm happy they're still playing. I love these guys.

"Doom and gloom" is an English phrase built on alliteration and, as always, hard to interpret to other languages. A Swedish equal would, perhaps, be "jämmer och elände". Close enough...

My guess is that Sir Michael had this song already, more or less, finished when he came to the studio. The rest is, probably, a cut and paste job. He pasted in some Keith licks and Ron did some small contributions to the song. I don't think Charlie or Darryl are present on the song. I guess this is the only way to make a Rolling Stones songs these days.
