Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin made a tackle, stood up and fell down. He didn’t get back up. CPR was administered and he was taken to the hospital. Didn’t look good. Clearly not a common injury. Hoping for the best.

Terribly. Damar has taken the place of Micah this year.

I have never ever seen a game suspended. Very very upsetting. Go Bills!

Please pray for this young man. His Mom and Dad at with him in the ambulance.

Prayers for a quick recovery

Damar went into cardiac arrest after being hit in the chest.

Medical used a defibrillator for at least 10 min to get a pulse.

He is on life support and medically induced coma fighting for his young life.

A report said his heart went out again when he got to the hospital, and he was revived again.
(Edited to add: Later news said only revived once.)
Mother rode with him in the ambulance.

Damar, please please please recover.

We had a hockey player, Chris Pronger, took a slap shot to the chest, same thing happened, but he returned later in the season to enjoy a long career, so there's hope!

Pronger's heart stopped for only a few seconds then started on his own. He was lucky.

Damar's case is completely different. It was not the same thing at all. Damar was brought back to life. AED, breathing tube, induced coma, respirator. Pronger did not.

Damar was actually brought back to life twice, once on the field & once in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. Really cool he was able to send a video message to his team today.

That's what his uncle said, brought back twice, but other more recent reporting says only once. (Bad enough.)

So happy to see him recovering!
