No: she needed her own space. Unfortunately, she had dreadful taste in music - Garth Brooks, Bryan Adams, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion. I had to hide my Stones, Dead, 13th Floor Elevators, Miles Davis, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan albums away when I went out with her.

A well known Midwestern promoter complained to her about her ticket prices some years back and how he was going to lose money. She is alleged to have replied that he should be grateful for the privilege of presenting her show.
She doesn't claim to be a songwriter but she did co-write "Evergreen" which is going to be around for a looooong time, like it or no. And who can listen to Wayne Newton recordings for pleasure? (besides himself, obviously)
I'm glad Ms. Streisand gets more respect nowadays. I can remember back in the 70s, a lot of people seemed threatened by her or something - she was like the Hillary Clinton of her day: too powerful, not deferential or self-deprecating, and worst of all a WOMAN. Not a conventionally attractive woman either. It's weird how that brings out the old "Burn the witch" vibe in some people.

Personally, if I may be allowed to say so, Barbra Streisand is a very talented singer.
Back in the day, two of the finest performances ever at the Hollywood Bowl came from Janis Joplin and Barbra Streisand.
Streisand may not be your cup of tea, but I respect her as an artist.

Well, while liking a wide variety of genres is not a bad thing, I would think that this question doesn't really belong here. Her genre is not rock or anything remotely close to the Stones. I don't hate her, but her music does nothing for me. On the other hand, when Keith hammers out the opening to JJF and the rest of the Stones kick in, I'm transported to the musical place my head likes to be. Barbara can't take me there.

Whoever said they liked her booty needs to get out more- what's she like 70?
I meant back in the day, like in What's Up Doc? But hey, as the photo below from 2011 shows, she looks quite good still, so hell yeah!
And while we're on the subject, Goldie Hawn at 66 still looks doable as well.
