I love it.

Agreed.

I love the whole album but got shot down once for saying it.

I'm indestructible luckily.

One of my all-time favourites...track and album
There is a "version" with the instrumental linking parts 1 & 2 - goes on for ages - great!!

Love to hear that version, if anyone has access to it.

1 and 2 are the same backing track, just different vocals and one might think a slightly different mix.

How the editing is different I've not figured out.

It really is a great groove. It's so messy it's fantastic.

The version from Licks is says Part 1, but its really a hybrid of 1 and 2.

Who got left off the front cover?

For those who think I hate all things with Wood (I don't!) this is maybe my favorite track from the Wood era. In the band I was in, we played it all the time. Our bassist would play with one hand while playing the trumpet with the other for the horn parts! Lots of fun on the guitar, and a fantastic groove from Charlie. Along with stuff like "Everything's Turning To Gold" the Stones were quite a good little funk outfit, just like they were quite a good country combo when they wanted to be. That's what I love about 'em.

Sorry Munich, cheerfulness crept in (as Leonard Cohen said). I do love "Dance" though.

71tele - The same thing I love about the Stones they were pretty darn good at a lot of different stykes of music very versatile band. They even got jazz in on Black and Blue with Melody and that is not a bad stab at jazz. Dance has always been one of my favorites from ER and I really like the Four Flicks version great groove and the French crowd really gets into it.

No "Licks", FOUR FLICKS. I originally posted LIVE LICKS but then realized it's not on there. It's on the BIGGEST MISTAKE cd single.

I always presumed it was Bill that got left off. From top left clockwise...

Mick, Charlie, Keith, Ronnie were my guess. Maybe that was the day Bill decided he was going to leave the band, in 12 years.

Mick w/beard is upper right.

(Actually aren't both of the top 2 Mick?)

Mick is unmistakably in the upper left...I didn't notice the shot to the right of him having a beard but you could be right. He has that right head tilt thing happening that I often see Charlie doing while he's drumming.

One of their worst covers...I remember thinking at the time it was lazy and unimaginative...that thermal imaging technique was already stale and no longer noteworthy,,,
