Ronnie's bassplaying on 'Truth' and 'Beck-ola' is absolute killer! Unfortunately not much footage of this great band available:

Two outstanding albums with Rod and Ron

The second version of the JBG also had two great albums (highly recommended) :

Rough and Ready :

The Jeff Beck Group:

Agree 100%. One wonders what Led Zeppelin I would have sounded like without the Truth album--probably a bit more like The Who.

Probably much the same.

I like pretty much everything Jeff Beck has done over the years (with the exception of a few cheesy collaborations).

There's a few JB Group with Ronnie torrents running on Dime:

I don't hear much bass on that clip.

The original Jeff Beck Group with Ron Wood was phenomenal. Ronnie's bass playing was 'killer' and ground-breaking. Perhaps one of the best bass players in rock history.

"Rough and Ready" is an extremely overlooked LP. Listen to "Situation" and you hear the template for Eddie Van Halen's playing several years later.

Great album - probably in my top 50 of all time. Love Max Middleton's piano playing. He played with Mick Taylor in 2009/10. And of course the late Cozy Powell on drums.

Here's clearly a guitarist playing bass...big difference to an actual bass player.
Still he's not bad.

Jeff's one of the greatest players in my opinion;
I love his early work with Rod & Ronnie, there's also a very fine version of "A Day In The Life" from Saitama 2009 around.
