Halloween Night Return To Stage For Stones?
Date: August 25, 2012 23:46

We keep hearing November in London, but what about on Halloween night somewhere in the States? Maybe Los Angeles?

I can live with November concerts in London, but think it would be far more dramatic to return on Halloween night somewhere in the States.

Have the Stones ever performed on Halloween night?

Yep very dramatic! What a brilliant idea!
What would their costumes be?
Maybe Mick can dress up like this guy:

It certainly worked well for the NW band the Sonics when they returned to the Paramount Theater in Seattle after a 35 year absence on Halloween night of 2008. And who said anything about the band wearing costumes, you dumbboot? Now, the fans in attendance, that is another thing.

Yes, they have. Alameda County Stadium, California- 31 okt. 1994

But I don't understand why they would fly to US for a Halloween show?
Halloween is not a big thing here in Europe. If London nov. gonna happen, I think it's time for rehearsals, and US. for one show? It will never happen.

Thanks, must have been one wild night.

I agree, it would definitely have to be for more than one show. I like the idea of the opener being on Halloween though.

So exactly 10 years to the day this coming Halloween. Very interesting. Were you in attendance that evening?

Did most of the audience show up in costume? Did you?

Yep, I sure was and it was a blast. Mick wore some kind of mask when he first came out on stage.

Wow, wish I could have been there for that one. I was lucky enough to see the return of the Sonics on Halloween night. It was one wild night. Would be the perfect night for the Stones to return on.

I agree, would never happen. And who would want to fly all the way to the United States for one or two shows??

CANADA, on the other hand...

Canada celebrates Hallowe'en MUCH more than the US. In fact, of all holidays, more beer is sold in Ontario Beer Stores than any other including St. Paddy's, New Years or Canada Day. We're more deserved and are a MUCH better audience too.

Wow, thanks so much. Great reading the reviews and also great to hear that Mick got into the spirit of the night with the mask, etc.. Ten years to the day from this coming Halloween night. Amazing.

Besides, November in London is about as depressing as it gets.

You mean dress up like an owl?

The Watchman is actually a wise old owl that watches over Sleepy Hollow in the woods above Saltys on Alki.
