The beauty of this song is its apparent simplicity. In the spaces there is a lot going on though. The Big 4 era is full of that. They certainly elevated when they got Bobby Keys involved, and this being his first Stones tune, if you look at, off the top of my head, a majority of the tunes he plays on, they are all rollers that rock.

Everything about this tune is fantastic - top 20 Stones track easily.
A shame it never "won" the scam song vote during last summers shows - it could have been one of the highlights of the entire tour, just as it was at Desert Trip wkd. #2.

An absolute highlight on an album full of highlights. Every (sparse) note is meaningful.

I've alway's dug this one. It's Bobby's playing that makes the song in the album version, IMO. esp. during the fade out. Classic!

When I hear the Robert Cray song 'I Can't Quit', I think of the 'Live With Me' drum tempo.

I dont think you have much like for Mick Jagger His Majesty,so much anti comments about every lyrics he writes.
