1. Keith, Ron and Charlie not being in shape enough to tour in '84 or behind Dirty Work.
2. Keith and Ron at Live Aid.
3. Inventing corporate tour sponsorship.
4. signing with Michael Cohl/Birth of the Vegas Era
5. Not writing an album that truly measures up to the previous two decades (cherry picking 2-3 good songs on their last six albums doesn't count, and Tattoo You is mostly 70's stuff). This crime also applies to the 90s, the 00s and the 10s.
Even though I consider myself "diehard", I think Talk is cheap is indeed a very good album in its own. Much better than Undercover, Dirty Work and Steel Wheels. Even my dad likes that one, who just listens to Toto and Steely Dan. All of Mick's solo outputs are dogshit however.Quote

Mick and Keith make Solo albums-unless your a diehard, these aren't great. The fued echoes John and Paul as each takes shots at each others.

I was watching one of my favorite movies, High Fidelity, and saw this question referenced about Stevie Wonder. I thought, why not try and come up with a list for the Stones? This isn't meant to dig at the band, but lets face it, the 80's were not kind to most of the dinasour acts, the Stones not excluded. So here is my list:
5. Dancing in the Streets Jagger and Bowie-ok not Stones per se, but a Stones connection, and a bad one at that
4. Steel Wheels tour 1989-Start of the Vegas band. They've never looked back since.
3. Chris Kimsey Production-yes yes he produced Sticky Finger and Some Girls, but he also produced Emotional Rescue, Undercover, and Steel Wheels, all sounding very overproduced to my ears
2. Mick and Keith make Solo albums-unless your a diehard, these aren't great. The fued echoes John and Paul as each takes shots at each other
1. Dirty Work, no comment
What are your five?
