I would be very pleased if the Stones made 5 or 6 TV specials, featuring songs from every CD or album, with all the Stones participating, including Taylor and Wyman. I would prefer that the songs be prerecorded, in case Jagger, Wood, or Keith hit a few bum notes.

Wheres the fun or danger in that? If they cant play as good as you want them to without them being some kind of embarrassment, then why want them to play at all?

With the proper promotion, these shows could reach more people than the 40 Licks world tour reached by playing in front of live audiences.

Numbers are of no significance at all to me. I dont get the fascination some Stones fans have with them. What does it matter if its 100 million or 1 million? The band's own obsession with this over the years (tour grosses etc) has been to their artistic detriment.

For some reason, I am always honored when Gazza responds to my comments. But why should we expect for the Stones to play any of their 400 or so songs live, with a flub not happening every now and then. No other group is held to such a level of complete perfection. Make it perfect and therefore memorable.

Well, you raise an interesting point. The Stones will always be memorable despite never having been musically 'perfect'. Thats part of the appeal.

If the Stones don't tour or even if they do, How about creating a real partnership with ABKCO and releasing some rarities...True Stereo versions...unreleased songs..(TELL Me Baby, How many times, High Heeled Sneakers,MEET ME IN THE BOTTOM,Fanny May, Bright Lighta Big City, etc.. Film footage of the original Stones on TV shows such as Red Skelton, Hollywood Palace,Big Beat Concerts 64 & 65, Shindig, Ready Steady Go etc...the rest of the Promo films such as Child of the moon, 2000 light years from home, Have you seen your mother(drag version), interviews, press conferences, etc..

Basically the stuff the fans have been asking for(but not getting) the last thirty @#$%& years!

I think it's completely laim that it takes independent companies aside from ABKCO & Rolling Stones Records that are responsible for any 60's film releases such as the TAMI Show & Ed Sullivan Performances. ABKCO & The Stones Need To Work Together.
