The Stones seem an unsentimental lot. Though I do remember Mick Jagger calling for Bill Wyman during the introductions on the Voodoo Lounge tour. "Oh, he's not here anymore?" It's hard to imagine them acknowledging Brian, but you never know. It is a special tour.

Its a stupid stupid gimmick.. How long would Beatles fans put up with Macca & Ringo touring with some holograms... And what exactly are those holograms playing? In that instance, it'd be Macca & Ringo doing an elaborate karaoke. Same for the Stones. Any track with a Brian 'hologram' would be the Stones playing along to a video.

No thanks!

One freaking hologram of Tupac and everybody wants to use the stupid gimmick. here's an idea. How about the Stones go on tour and just do some good shows.eye rolling smiley

Well, playing alongside a hologram of now dead members is really problematic on so many levels. Way too risky with an overwhelming chance of dooming the show, the reputation they now enjoy on whatever level, etc.

But never say never... there *might* be a way to use the technology, to do something a bit more low key. Perhaps a simple introduction of the group... Brian waving his arm, as Stu says "come on you little showers of shit, you're on!".....

No?

Probably not. But just trying to take the question seriously.

Or...maybe if someone was dead set on using this technology, perhaps the solution would be before the actual Stones take the stage, there could be a few minutes (very few minutes), of ALL the stones as holograms - Jagger, Richards, Wood, Watts, alongside Jones and Stu, (maybe adding Mick Taylor and Nicky Hopkins), all noodling away on some tune. This wouldn't be too different than simply having a couple minutes of the same done with animation - but no mixing and matching living performers, in the flesh, alongside the deceased and pretending they're alive together.

I wish people would stop calling what happened with Tupac at Coachella a hologram. It wasn't a hologram.

I don't care for the "CONTROVERSIAL POST" banner. Whether it is, or isn't can't be predetermined ahead of time.

No CGI movies of dead people rear-projected onto glass please.

That Tupac thing was pretty gross and the thug lifestyle sucks. Those maniacs pull guns on each other and kill each other over of what side of the country you live in. They are nuts and they don't impress me.

Foxy Brown can kiss my ass.

OK maybe I should have posted 'controversial subject' - I was only trying to make a point in respect of people who maybe used in this manner - As I said, I no way would wish this.Only opening up a debate.
