Ronnie Wood Show. Ep 9. Toots

God I enjoyed that one.

A lovely ramshackle mess of a show with some nice jamming, Elvis and Amy stories.

Plus a dig at lack of royalities with a knowing look.

I was looking forward to this one but I was a bit disappointed with it. Ron says something Toots Nods. Toots says something Ron Nods. But there was little genuine conversation. I mean Toots was there at the beginning of reggae. He was (briefly) in the Harder They Come. He must have 100s of stories. He mentioned Marley and Cliff and Ron didn't follow up. Pehaps the radio version had more and it was poorly edited.

Me too. Just thought it could've been better.

The The Harder They Come soundtrack is a very enjoyable record. The Maytals do two songs, Pressure Drop and Sweet and Dandy, but there are some other very fun songs besides the fine and well known Jimmy Cliff songs: e.g., Johnny Too Bad and 007 (Shanty Town). I love Cliff's Sitting In Limbo. Good album to try or revisit.

What is that blue cigarette that Ronnie keeps puffing on?
