"time has been kind to that jagger solo tour"
I don't know about this but what strikes me is how much the solo'88 tour is the blueprint for the SW tour. The old "wing it boys" vibe of previous Stones tour has been replaced by cold professionalism, computerized shows, robotic arrangements (SFTD comes to mind).
That was the recipe for consistent gigs night after night but 23 years later one doesn't really feel like listening to these 89 shows again...

UR- I will - those are embargoed for a bit - so out of my hands (probably closer to the tour)
Exactly what I thought when I first heard the Tokyo show a few years back.Quote

to my eyes, time has been kind to that jagger solo tour. the professionalism
of it is not as jarring now as it was back then. it will be nice to
eventually get the "deep down under" show in HQ.
