“Wild Horses”: Keith’s original lyrics

Keith has said that when he wrote “Wild Horses,” it was about the anxiety he was feeling over the notion of going on tour right after Marlon was born, and as such he wrote the song as a lullaby for his son, and that Mick re-wrote his original lyrics into the heartbreaking ballad we all know and love.

Has Keith’s original lyrics for “Wild Horses” ever turned up? I know of no demo or recording of them, but at least a printout of the lyrics? I’m genuinely curious to hear how this “lullaby” version would sound.

I think Keith was referring to that he wrote the chorus, not the verses.

From timeisonourside.com:

«It was Keith's melody. And he wrote the phrase wild horses, but I wrote the rest of it. I like the song. It's an example of a pop song. Taking this cliché wild horses, which is awful, really, but making it work without sounding like a cliché when you're doing it».

- Mick Jagger, 1995
