I think the Stones should do a Free tour or selection of venues as a thank you to fans for 50 years of love and support, it would'nt cost the Stones anything, the sponsors would be queing up.... just a thought

I'd like to see all proceeds from tickets to go to worthy charities. Target, ONE BILLION dollars.

That should annoy bono! (nothing like a healthy rivalry going to a good cause).

Just an afterthought, they even have a choice of stages/lights/sound equipment etc stashed away in warehouses.... there would be no cost to the band

A 'free' tour or even a 'free' show would be filled by everyone least deserving long before fans could reach for their car keys.

Think of 'free lunch' and 'free beer'.

I could'nt agree more "Cocaine Eyes", don't get me wrong I love the Band and yes have had years of great times with the tours and music, first single bought was "Its all Over Now, first concert was ironically a free gig at Hyde Park London 1969, BUT I still feel it would be a great finish by the group to GIVE US A GREAT GOOD BYE

Live Aid was a charity event, so it's a bit different than a band doing a tour out of the kindness of their hearts. But maybe given the ticket prices of recent years you might have a point, they should offer up a freebie (especially after the money I've spent in my life. I shudder to add it up).

that would be more than great, when that would really happen ......... but I doubt, because the Rolling Stones are always touring for money (and of course for the fun on stage).

If it is one thing you/we can count on.... the most beautiful woman in the world love this band, so if the Stones are involved, the woman will be beautiful and all over the place. There is more than just the music that makes these guys the Greatest Rock and Roll band in the world.

they should set up a tour where they play 5 dates in large cities (new york, LA, SF, Dallas, Chicago, London, Paris, Rome, Sydney, Tokyo, Toronto, Amsterdam, etc.)

5 dates - every other day
arena size and no larger
creative, eccentric sets filled with rarities, classics, and the war horses
19-20 songs per show
the 5th night's show - sell $10 dollar tickets day of the show.

show's 1 through 4 - sell reasonable tickets priced between 75-150

i think that would be interesting
