via stonesdoug:
Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger having lunch at Filomena on Sunday.
Overheard saying, “We have a reservation for four,” with his “posh British
accent,” by one of our colleagues.
“He’s really cool, by the way,” confirmed Dino Jensen, executive director at the
Italian ristorante. While he couldn’t recall what the fashion icon was wearing,
he did describe his attire as “casual.”
Jagger’s party had the gnocchi with pesto, chicken al mattone, penne pasta and
pepperoni pizza. For dessert: the caramel eclair, tiramisu and strawberry
cheesecake.

The Rolling Stones, along with The Animals, Yardbirds were incredibly instrumental in bringing Blues to the white American teenager. Just ask Muddy Waters & Howling Wolf & BB King how their audiences changed after 1964. They all give The Stones credit.BB King commented that his last pure black aaaudience was around 1964 when he recorded LIVE AT THE REGAL..Muddy said that everything seemed to change after THe Stones played Little Red Rooster on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964. Remember, the sound of young black america was SOUL & Motown by that point...James Brown, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, Marvin Gaye..Etc....

Besides, isn't that Jagger guy, 68, marvellous? Just think of the range of the things he does: he has a top three hit in the single charts in UK with one of the hottest music makers of the day that is exactly 'trendy' music at the moment. The kids are dancing to his moves and swaggers in the clubs.. He just made a team effort cross-genre album that is unique by its own terms... Now he is there in the White House playing the old blues with Buddy Guy and Jeff Beck... And this all before the 50th Anniversary thing by the Stones that, of course, is going to be a huge thing... oh yeah, and he worked some vaults stuff from 30 years old album somewhere along the way...
Is there anyone in the music universe who could do something similar? An unique guy, our Jagger... A miracle, the whole man...

I went through this thread before coming up with the question but I might have missed any mention of the exact time of this event. Anyway, as it is going to be live streamed, does anybody know at what time it will take place?
