Now THAT's a hit, Max!!
I owe it all to my co-writers... my morning eggs, they do most of the work,
they were just saying the other morning we need more songs about breakfast food, or toasters winking smiley

I don't get what anyone likes about Taylor Swift....her songs seem to be written by a child, her voice is lousy, not full and developed and she's not really pretty....doesn't it make you want to try writing songs yourself??

I agree. Her performance came off as really smug. I thought it was annoying.

The Boss - Bruce Springsteen was amazing, also great performances by The Beach Boys, Sir Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters and a great tribute to Whitney Houston by Jennifer Hudson.

Congratulation to Miss Diana Ross for getting finally the Grammy Lifetime Archievement Award!! You deserve that, Diana!!

Her popularity is unbelievable for her talent level. I suppose it is because she (and her songs of boy woe) appeal to the demographic with the most disposable/spendable money, 12-16 girls, which accounts for her headling and selling out 60,000+ plus stadiums over and over last summer. It is a head scratcher for me, but I am not the target. I have zero appreciation for her "ya'll clapping for lil ole me?, aw shucks" gimmick. Appears to be part of the act.

It will be interesting to see what becomes of her. She is still very young. I wonder.... Will she get rich and disappear... or will she keep on keeping on.

That's the spit mask that I mentioned earlier. That's one nasty looking women. I have to admit. Does she record for Dr Frankenstien Records. A total man made product. I wish I was in the board room when they came up with an idea to invent her.

Gaga was "invented" by a woman. Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. Do your homework, or go yell at the kids to get off your lawn again.

But still, my point is that there is a place for artist who stray from the accepted norm - her act is part-hip-hop and part performance art.....
Not my thing, and you don't have to like it, but I get irritated at some of the 'moral outrage'.

Well I definitely agree with you on the 'moral outrage'...that, is a joke.

How is it possible to be a Stones fan, and have moral outrage? Maybe they need to see a clip of c*cksucker blues?

Yeah, one of the greatest examples of this on this board a while back:
Someone deriding Gaga for using gimmicks in her live shows, to which another poster (Gazza?),
(paraphrasing)
'Yeah, because using a giant inflatable cock as a prop is completely artistic.'

I vaguely remember posting something along those lines myself a long way back!

It was you! Brilliant!

Maybe Taylor will just disappear, SOON! I think that unfortunately her audience also includes the huge country audience....yawn!

Bruno Mars and Adele were the performances of the night....Mars should have opened the show...Bruce's song is lame.

Yeah, I thought they would play, but they just accepted the award. That wasn't shown during the broadcast. It went on kinda long, with stories. I found a link elsewhere, forgot where.

I have better things to do. Anyways that women should be called Stefini Joanna Angelina Germoantta Frankenstien. It's only a matter of time that she'll be run out of town by burnning touches. I give her about 2 to 3 more years before she become that next Spice Girls.........fizzzel......bye bye freak

the music video awards used this as a promo in 2010:

i think it was also used as a poster for the mccain campaign in 2008

(NOTE: i am not an obama supporter or ron paul or any of them)

that would give her a total of about five years, about the same time the stones
were anything special, at least according to a bunch of people around here.

janis, jimi, traffic, cream, the doors, even the beatles, chuck berry, jerry lee,
a million others, only about 5 good years, right? not so bad an effort really.

(note: i don't like gaga personally, but her success is hardly flash-in-the-pan.
her fans are scarily devoted. but she does have some problems reaching beyond
her fanbase, as do many performers.)

The girl is like 25! She can sing, play, write...she'll b around as long as she wants. I'm waiting for her to realize that she's a real musician and that's enough.
