Yes...Nero Express is fine. You can just choose whether to have gaps or not by ticking the 'no pause between tracks' option.

And no ticking or between tracks after burning ?

Exists in FLAC! thumbs up

But not for the US! It's Mick's revenge against the Neocons! thumbs up
(just kidding)

We can get it in the US. I just did! We have to get it from Google Music.

at what cost? peace

Here in the states, it's available from Google Music for $4.95 (USD)

yes, but isn't that for MP3s? the question is whether it's available as flac files in the US,
and if so please provide a link

I don't think you can buy the FLAC in the States, but you can find plenty of people willing to give it to you. And I don't want to out anybody.

Almost done downloading, listening to Under My Thumb....
Sounds completely different then Still Life.

Captures the live performance greatly, lots of guitar details.

I believe I read on the other thread that Under My Thumb from Still Life is from New Jersey. Might have the wrong state, but it's not from Hampton.

Its from New Jersey.

The only Hampton 18/12/81 songs that are on Still Life are Lets Spend The Night Together, Shattered and Time Is On My Side.

I know UMT on Still Life is not from Hampton, I just wanted to compare as an "official album" the Hampton version is much richer on guitars and a beautiful mix. Really a nice new archive release.
BTW if you bought the flac files you can easily convert them with Winamp media player (www.winamp.com) to MP3 or WAV.

I only had a quick flick through the Hampton stonesarchive tracks last night but it sounds good to my ears. UMT seemed slower than the Still Life version. I then flicked through Still Life and noticed that it has a narrower stereo image than Hampton which is wider. Still Life also seems to have a lot of analogue tape punch to the bass and drums as compared to Hampton. I guess this is what happens when they mix/master digitally as compared to the 80s when it was done to tape (Still Life as available now is a transfer from the final tape master, whereas Hampton stonesarchive release would have had individual intrument and vocal tracks transferred to digital format for onward processing, mixing and mastering..the same as happened with the Exile and SG new tracks).

Anyway I'm not complaining too much - looking forward to listening to this release.

And hoping for an early concert as the next release, ideally something from 1970 or 1971. Leeds is well known but following the recent pattern it seems likely they will release it, they have the clear multitrack recording.

This one sounds amazing. Been very happy for many years with my TSP boots, and if it wasn't a very nice box set, I could easily throw them away now. This new one sounds so much better.

Just downloaded it, and I'm as far as Whip comes down, but right now I can say this song alone
is worth the price of 7 euro's I've paid. As livid as on the Some girls in Texas DVD, which
already was good, but with even more acrobatics from the guitar team!

Update: now Just my Imagination. Ernie Watts is mixed better than on the bootlegged versions,
though I still think he overplayed a bit during this song. It is fun to concentrate on Bill's bass playing during the sax solo's. Keith is more prominent in the mix
than before, and that is a good thing!

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

Well you don't it seems.
You'll have to download illegally.
I do encourage you greatly to buy it on MP3.
Many people need to buy it. So we get more!

What I've heard so far is pretty good, just as well as I've been charged twice for it,once for the failed Firefox attempt and once for the successful Google Chrome effort.
I did email them but no joy yet.it's not as if you can take advantage of the same download and sell it on,as once you have 1 copy you can make as many others as you please.
I will have to be on my guard for the next issue.
Then again why should I be surprised ,I bought every other album at least twice.

How does one copy from Google music where the download was purchased over to iTunes?

Just drag your downloaded files to the iTunes window.

If its flac, you can't. Encode them as wav files, and it'll work, though.

Has anyone successfully burned the mp3 files to disc (or even played them) without gaps between songs? As far as I can tell, the gaps are part of the mp3 files themselves...

I can't (legally) access the flac files since I am in the US.

Thanks, I have tried this, but when I highlight the songs in Google music, they won't drag over to iTunes. Not sure what I am doing wrong as this worked with Brussels. I have Hampton on both my Macbook and also my home PC and I can't get it done on either machine over to iTunes. This can't be that hard....

You need to d/l them first to your harddrive before you can add them to iTunes.
