Very mature idiot!
What do my guitarskills have to do with KR? You totally miss my point. Keep on living in denial if you want to, i´m just realistic.

And you miss the whole point many are making about Keith's playing in the rehearsal video. He is not playing "poorly." He is playing simply, and doing it well. There is a huge difference. What he plays perfectly fits the song. A lot of more technically capable players would ruin a simple blues like that with too much showing off. No, this is not the Keith Richards who played the solo in Sympathy For The Devil. This is an aged Keith Richards who seems to be compensating for slowing fingers with a greatly improving blues voice. This is what he has become and he does it well. He plays a lot less than he once did but it is by no means poor or mediocre. It's what blues guitar should be - simple but rich with heart and soul. And BTW, how mature of you to mock someone's maturity and then call them an idiot. Most people here try to refrain from personal attacks and name calling just because they disagree.

True, his skills might be down due to arthritis,
however, I can not judge his medical condition, I am not a doctor, just a fan (opposed to majority of the posters on this topic, who obviously became specialist in all medical conditions just looking at someone at the screen),
I am aware that his guitar skills can not be compared to even 10 years ago, and that there are players older than him playing much better (Buddy Guy for example, recently seen), and yes, I feel sorry for him, I suppose that this is more difficult for him than for his fans.
the top comment does not apply to his skills at all - I love the man dearly, and see him here down to the earth, enjoying himself, and not trying to act like his stage persona (eg. I am cool mf with a gun and a knife).
The performance is full of emotions and soul, he is trying to give the best obviously under the present conditions, and I do not see any reasons not to accept the way it is and enjoy. That's life, and this is KR in 2012. Semi-retired person, growing lemons, and playing simple blues from time to time. Like it or not. If not, you can always play something from 71-73. I do

Oh there are a lot of us who get it. I guess we just don't need to engage those who don't. Go check out the buy sell trade page for a super download and enlightened conversation....

Great quality rehearsal footage as posted officially on Keith's pages:

Wow, that rehearsal clip is amazing.
That's the blues. That's Keith today. If someone thinks this shows Keith's degradation or inability to still play or something like that, they don't get it. I'm not saying he is the same guitarist he was thirty, or even twenty years ago. I'm saying that you can't draw that conclusion from this clip. What he played was perfectly calibrated to the music he was playing, which is the ultimate sign of a true musician.
that is tasteful blues playing. That's the essence of the blues, right there, and Keith has it nailed.
He sure looks aged though...
Fantastic clip.
