re: "Them" ....I was speaking in general (Stones, Beatles & others).

Not excusing Klein for deception or other shenanigans...but Klein had a reputation and a track record. And the Stones had options. Klein was known for strong-arming and being abrasive. These tactics both benefitted the Stones and came back to bite the Stones in the end. They were dancing with the devil.

I think Keith's line that "it's the price of an education" is exactly right.

don't get me wrong...i'm not defending Klein just trying to point out that the Stones hired him because
of his thuggish reputation. When you hire a hitman...you gotta remember that he can just as easily
turn the gun on you.

i think it's despicable what Klein did but it's like hiring a fox to run your henhouse. Retrospect was
not needed.

One thing about real con-men is that they can talk the panties off a nun. I mean to say they are so good that they talk people into things even when the person know better and I think Klein was one of the best cons in the business
