Hello,

i got the vinyl boxset for christmas. i could not listen to them yet because my record player is not here. but i downloaded the MP3 files at www.backtoblackvinyl.com with the download code and i listened a bit to them and i did find out that some of them have problems.

two examples:

all about you - at 3:06 there is a quick jump in the music

tie you up - at 2:09 there is a part of the song in sort of slow motion

has anybody got the same problems? i find it very dissapointing because these mp3 files are a nice extra item. but if they have problems it doesn't make any sense....

Far Away Eyes has a problem at 2:10......does nobody have these files?

Yeah, they are awful. I put them on my ipod and it's been a disaster. A lot of them have skips and other problems and I even remember some white noises on Voodoo Lounge.

that's sad for such an expensive item. i hope the vinyls are better

Most of them are really nice, especially the recent ones. Not too crazy about the overly distorted mix of Goat's Head Soup though.

Sorry for the problems with the MP3's Contact BackToBlack vinyl and report the problem. They will send you replacement files (others who experienced similar problems got compensate files).

As for the boxes: It's a matter of taste what you find good and bad in mastering. However, ABKCO got rave reviews for their box. Hell, some of the LP's sounds even better than the 2002 SACD's!!!
