What are you guys and girls favourite live version of this song I quite like the one on live licks and the version from the Rio show 2006

I like the version from the Atlantic City pay per view in 1989.

Favorite live version would be Mick with Foo Fighters on SNL in 2012. The version that comes the closest to the studio track.

Least favorite version would be Mick and Tina at Live Aid.

Not really a fan of the Stones live versions since it misses the charm of the original and just ends up sounding like a Chuck Berry pastiche the same as "Star, Star." If I had to pick a favorite, it would be either L.A. FRIDAY or LOVE YOU LIVE. From the latter day era (now extending 30 years), I'd probably go with the one in AT THE MAX.

Only Rock'n Roll but I like it

The Paris version on Love You Live from 1976. Or any version before that (the song wasn't played live until 1989 after 1976). For some reason I don't like any version after that.

September 14, 1989 Cincinnati show is my farourite version of IORR.
Raka-rack rhythm combination on the lower strings by Ronnie and Keith was a miracle.

Mick got raunchy in Chicago on 3rd June, 2013...

L.A. Friday. The first live take of IORR I ever heard, still my favorite. The slower, druggy pace suits it well.

Keith's guitars are different takes, and one of Mick’s vocal tracks is different, too? The rest sounds identical to me..

Keith's guitars are different takes, and one of Mick’s vocal tracks is different, too? The rest sounds identical to me..

We know that the original take, recorded by ronnie, mick and some friends at the wick, is partly used by the stones. Kenney jones plays drums, charlie only fakes in the video.
Keith deleted some guitar parts and the voice of bowie and did some overdubs.
But yes, micks voice is different as well.
So maybe they used the early version for the video??
