RONNIE Wood has flown to Australia to spend a week playing "grandpa" to his two-year-old Sydney-based granddaughter, Maggie. Yesterday Wood, 64, was in his element as he and Maggie played at a Double Bay park - "Grandpa" possibly having influenced the tot's "boho chic" style as Maggie cavorted about delightfully oblivious to the fact that only one of her arms had found its mark in a sleeve.
Or perhaps Ronnie, who slurped through a straw on a coconut during the playdate, had given his "darlin" a hand getting dressed.
Mother Leah, Wood's daughter to ex-wife Jo, joined the pair.
Leah moved to Australia two years ago with her partner, Aussie TV producer Jack Macdonald, soon after her father and mother split up. Leah said at the time she was happy to find herself on the opposite side of the world and far from the "circus" that followed their break-up. She said Maggie was "besotted" with "Grandpa".
