Thank you very much. Great read.
An error : Bobby Keys was not on stage in Brussels, Trevor Lawrence takes the solo during YCAGWYW
A remark : i doubt Silver train and Heartbreaker were played at the 2nd show.
I wonder if these two songs would come from an earlier date (london?).
I remember talkin' (back in 1995) with a guy from Belgium who saw the 2nd show (i was at the first) and we concluded the set list was the same for both shows.
By the way, the guy could have forgotten Heartbreaker...

Chris -Bobby Keys was sacked before this show, most probably after Rotterdam. It's Trevor Lawrence on sax.

Bobby Keys was sacked after the Munich shows; unless I'm mistaken, as he didn't show up to the airport when they were leaving for Frankfurt

Listen to the sax solo in Frankfurt 1973 (1st show), and compare them with the Munich (and previous) solos. THe sax player has no clue on what to play.

Always a pleasure to read you Chris!
You should apply for an archivist position at the stones vaults.Sounds corny? Hey the Hendrix family hired a long-time Jimi fan to manage the tapes legacy so...

Great read. Thanks. I still don't know if this is available in Europe. Even if I have already both Brussels and Bedspring on CD for decades.

Haven't listened to the all lately, but the story is/was that he missed some shows, and the went overboard by ordering a bath tub of champagne and drinking it all together with some hookers in the Rotterdam Hilton. He then was sacked by Jagger.

In my book you earn a medal after a story like that.

Thank you very much!! I realize now I had Bedspring Symphony, and thats why the new Brussels sounds so very different, except the very first Brown Sugar.

I agree with ChrisM, it is a great mix for Street Fighting Man.
When I heard SFM from the bootleg of Brussels it really sounded like a train wreck at the end of the song...but this official release actually makes the guitar make sense...I actually thought it came from Brussels #2 show that's how different it sounded to me...
good job.

This much cheaper, or better, they make more money with this way of releasing.

Maybe I'm going to make a fool of myself again, but with so many comments about this show and the personnel, I wonder why nobody has mentioned Ian Stewart yet!

Am I the only one who hears some beautiful boogie/rock'n'roll piano on some faster songs like "Star Star", "All Down The Line", "Honky Tonk Women"...?

To my old ears this sounds like Stu, not Billy Preston.

That really sucks. It'd surely would have been so sick if there had been TWO sad sax sacks that summer.
