Couldn't help myself, found one for a little under the normal price, had to Lay Buy it, usually around $1,199 aud but talked the salesman down to $999 aud, really wanted a Deville but patience is not one of my virtues, infact, I have none. But I will have a Hot Rod Deluxe before Xmas unless my wife finds out, then I'll be dead before Xmas.

All you need now is two JAN GE 5751s , A JAN Philips AT7 and pair of JAN Philips 6L6 WGB tubes [or new TAD 6L6 WGC]... and you'll get closer to that "Tweed Twin" sound than you might think possible ;^)
[Tell the Missus they're spare light bulbs ;^) ]

Where do you live? as it seems very pricey what you've been offered. street price in the US is about $750 new. used ones through ebay or CL can be had at about $350 to $500.
lots of folks sell them because they really do get LOUD.
Im in Australia, we do pay a lot more than other countries, I just looked at a 57 LP Goldtop Re-issue, $6,299 a good Standard LP is anywhere between $3000 and $5000, Fender are a lot cheaper, an American Standard is around $1,400.The Deville was $1,479. Our Dollar has been a little higher then the US dollar but today it dropped down to 98cents.
