Anybody see tonights Jools show, some interesting stuff.
Lou Reed and Metalica, not a fan of Metalica and not listened to Lou Reed for years, but was pleasantly surprised it seemed to work fine, don't know why but sounded fun.
Steve Earle was on there and was excellent as usual, also on were AAron Neville, with some fabulous slide guitar player I did not catch his name.
He had the usuall people I'd hot heard before, but all were excellent tonight.

Haven't watched yet so I can't comment yet. I think its out of sync a bit too but here's the video I think you're talking about.

Doesn't seem AWFUL. Honestly sounds like a modern day version of the garage rock that Velvet Underground played. Sounds a bit monotonous and dull to me, but I was also never a huge VU fan either. This is the first song I'm hearing off this album and I really expected way worse.

R Freak, I am a huge Lou fan but I have to say it does sound pretty bad. And I want to like it. I can get Lou doing this more, than I get Metallica. James with those BU vocals is just lame.
Metallica IMO could be way great at this time. The bass player is phenomenal.
