Stones Single Edits

Not all of their singles have been "single versions" - edited or mixed - some have been LP versions, like Brown Sugar, Tumbling Dice, Start Me Up, Shattered.

Jumpin' Jack Flash and Honky Tonk Women were only singles.

But a few have been edited and some with different mixes even. Fool To Cry, Miss You - and two single mixes and edits of this one, Emotional Rescue, Out Of Tears (2 of those as well), Mixed Emotions, Beast Of Burden, Rock And A Hard Place, Out Of Control, Crazy Mama, Anybody Seen My Baby, Saint Of Me.

Any others? I know She Was Hot was a different version for the video but was the single edited?

And just what was the first edited single anyway? I keep thinking Fool To Cry.

Wasn't it "Tell Me" in 1964 ?

The UK single of "Brown Sugar", "Bitch" and "Let It Rock" was released in mono.
In fact it was the Stones' last single to be released in mono.

Yes, although I was refering to UK releases. Tumbling Dice was issued in stereo in the UK, but the US version was indeed mono. All Down The Line was a different take altogether! Possibly issued in error?

Neither me don't know if it was an error or not; and I bet even the Rolling Stones don't know!
Oh - you were talking about UK releases. My bad, then.

Right. It's more a different mix than an edited version.
