how many years have the Stones actually worked?

To the best of my knowledge, the band did no work, or virtually no work, together in each of the following calendar years

Out of 50 years, there are 12 in which there was no activity whatsover

You mean as a band or each of the individual members? Because I have a feeling that some of those years you listed some of them were doing solo stuff. Does that count or do you mean exclusive work in terms of Stones material?

Stones-only. Lots of solo work in many of those years.

There was some low profile studio work in 2009-11 for overdubbing the unreleased songs on Exile and Some Girls. There was some studio work by correspondence for Watching the River Flow in 2011 as well.

If you count the days then about 10 - the rest was spent hanging around waiting for Keith to arrive!!

After 25 years Charlie sad they have worked 5.
