Steve Jordan is considered one of the greatest rock and roll drummers of all time. He joins Marc in the garage to talk about his years playing in the house bands for David Letterman and Saturday Night Live, which included being part of The Blues Brothers' band. Steve also shares stories of his collaborations with Neil Young, Don Henley, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Chuck Berry and The Rolling Stones, which led to a prolific partnership and friendship with Keith Richards.

Great interview!

Very interesting man. And, of course, such a great drummer!

So in the end he DID NOT play drums on the Dirty Work album, only percussion and BU vox

That means either Ronnie or Anton Fig on Too Rude, then? Ronnie plays drums on Sleep Tonight.

Nice interview - thanks for the link.

Actually will be seeing Jordan perform tomorrow night - he is playing in John Mayer's band. Pino Palladino is on bass -- must admit, I am more excited to see them play, than I am Mayer --- though after seeing Mayer play with the Dead & Company 4 times - the guy definitely can hold his own.

Wish Maron would have asked Jordan about Mayer and Palladino - would have been interesting to hear Jordan's take on them.

Ronnie plays drums on Sleep Tonight.

Well, what you're hearing obviously emanates from a drum kit.
...'plays'... in this context is restricted to a participatory term.
