Double Door 1997 - revisting video

I found the old pro-shot of this gig on youtube:

And I have to say this gig is way better than I remembered it from listening to the bootleg. They still felt really exciting here. I wish they would release this show officially in better quality.

Not releasing this officially is a "Shame, Shame, Shame"! (Love that old Jimmy Reed tune from this show!)

Quite stunning. Hope we will see this released official. Would be great to have it in proper quality, a lot of great Rock And Roll in there.

Yes please release this. The only good gig from the Vegas era. Squinting your eyes you can almost picture the real band 1962-1982

Is this a different audio source? Some kind of monitor mix ?

Great gig, way better than the 2002 warm-up or the 2005 ''Light the Fuse'' gig.

Seems to be a different audio source. The guy shouting out "nasty" in front of Anybody Seen My Baby is missing. In my opinion it's a great candidate for release. Hope it happens.

Fantastic show. I wish either this or the Shepherd's Bush gig from the same era would see official release (but the DD especially).

To me it's a pre-tour warm-up show where the band sounds quite rusted...

I think it's this video:

THE ROLLING STONES The Double Door Chicago, IL, USA September 18, 1997 PRO SHOT
PRO SHOT VHS TO DVD FROM THE KRW_CO COLLECTION

Nah, maybe some songs, but keep in mind that it's a very bold lifeless recording. This kind of audio will make most shows seem bland and rusted.
I think it would really come alive with a nice professional audio mix.

Yes this show would probably come to life with better audio. However I more almost more interested in other Bridges to Bablyon-shows, like the Pepsi Convention Tent show for instance, a pro-shot should exist.

Love that bit of Mick, right after "Lookin' like a model on the cover of a magazine" - the Mick Jagger of 1969 appearing for just that couple of seconds!

Ronnie does a hilariously good job of aping Keith while in standard tuning during Keith's solo, clank riffing to sound like open G while in standard and then throwing in the similar raunchy notes at the end of the solo.

These guys seem pretty good
The lead singer guy is really good in some parts

If they keep practicing they might make the big time and get out of small clubs

Besides Shame, Shame, Shame being the rare highlight I love Little Queenie and 19th Nervous Breakdown the most. Then Crazy Mama is great too!

Fantastic show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These are not Vegas Rolling Stones, this is like a local band playing in the town pub.
Since 1982, nothing so fresh, this is really what a rock band and rock an roll are about
