Just listening to that track after a long time away from it.

Wow! I always regarded it as one of the best on SGDx, but what a raw, funky concoction they brew! The verses have that nifty little funk weaving, and the chorus just soars.

The little guitar soloy riff that comes in toward the end (a little touch of Crazy Mama), Keith's harmonies (er, well I assume they are..)

Thanks Pecman. I actually bought that OOT cd single when it came out. VL was my first album released when i was a young fan, the first 'new' album for me, and I bought all the cd singles that came out.

(when i was 19 and had spare cash to with as i pleased)

The CD single for "Love Is Strong" has a cut called "The Storm"

The CD single for "You Got Me Rocking" has "Jump On Top Of Me"
which I believe was included in a Soundtrack to a movie at that time.

Yes, you are correct, the soundtrack was from the movie "Pret-a-Porter" (which I've never seen but some of those other soundtrack tunes, like the Cranberries offering called "Pretty", were also pretty good!)

...... Jump On Top Of Me was featured in the Robert Altman film .....Pret' A Porter

The best bonus disc ever! It stands up well with the origional release, and it could stand on its own merits.

The Some Girls Bonus Disc should have been the Emotional Rescue album and
the Emotional Rescue album should have been the Some Girls bonus disc...except for the song "Emotional Rescue" which was quite timely for 1980...not one of their best...but a very timely record like "Angie" in 1973 and "Miss You" in 1978.

They did not re-cut it for VOODOO LOUNGE. Mick recorded new vocals.

My favourite song on a great bonus disc! Really love it. Typical Stones sound - that´s why the Stones are my band! And great, funny lyrics too.

The 2010 version has three guitars, Keith, one in the middle and Wood on the right. The Deluxe version has the Richards guitar, Wood mixed much more upfront, and that third middle guitar removed.

The funny thing is that I can't hear Ronnie at all on the final version. I'm pretty sure it's Keith in the left channel as well.

My remarks where about So Young.

About I Love You Too Much: I personally do not hear any new guitars, but the open G guitar could be new. Zentgraf also states the pedal steel on No Spare Parts is new, but that's also original I believe.

The two vocal lines that are new to me are:

Correct, he did that in NY in 12/1993 when Virgin were thinking of adding bonus tracks to the CD rereleases. It's said he worked on 6 tracks (Fiji Jim being another one) but only one saw the light of day unfortunately and Fiji didn't make the cut in 2011...
